Family Files Suit Against Brentwood Man Accused Of Killing Wife
Family members of a Brentwood orthodontist who was reportedly murdered by her husband in April, have filed suit against the suspect.
Randolph C. Maidens, age 42, was arrested after allegedly shooting his wife, Dr. Rachael Elizabeth Frisbie Maidens, age 34, inside their Governor’s Club, Brentwood home on April 19, 2013.
The couple’s two-year-old daughter was found inside the home, unharmed. Rachel Maidens is the granddaughter of Lawrenceburg resident Neal Frisbie.
The Governor’s Club community was placed on lockdown and a manhunt ensued after Randolph Maidens fled from the home.
Once apprehended from a nearby wooded area, he was booked on charges of reckless homicide. He was later released under a $2.5 million bond.
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Maidens by the estate of his late wife. Maidens was in court in Williamson County Monday in connection with the lawsuit.
At that time the judge opted to dismiss a contempt of court charge that had been issued against him. The charge came about when Maidens accessed his home shortly after making bond.
A July 22 hearing was scheduled in the civil case. Until that time Maidens agreed to abide by conditions set forth in a temporary restraining order.
Maidens is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday in connection with the criminal charges.
